Autism Speaks, Best Buddies and Special Olympics are joining forces in an effort to create one million jobs for people with developmental disabilities.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sometimes problems are so big that it takes a partnership of organizations to solve them.  This particular problem; 81% of people with developmental disabilities nation wide do not have a paid job.  That is why Autism Speaks, Best Buddies and the Special Olympics joined forces with the common goal of creating one million jobs for people with developmental disabilities.  Check out this story on Disability Scoop.

In the Fargo-Moorhead area; a task force made up of 16 community organizations, focuses on employment opportunities.  Whether you are in or around Fargo, Fergus Falls, Wahpeton, Jamestown or Lisbon, there are organizations building bridges to employment.

Organizations listed in decorative fonts include: Vocational Training Center, The Arc, High Plains Reader, Job Service North Dakota, Hornbacher's, Fargo Park District, Fargo Public Schools, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, West Fargo Public Schools, United Way, North Dakota Assistive Technology, Freedom Resource Center, Essentia Health, North Dakota Department of Human Services, Greater Fargo Moorhead Economic Development Corporation, and Mind Shift.
