Breaking Down Barriers To Independence
People are amazing. Every so often someone develops a product that can enrich the lives of those who use it. Last year we shared a story about Chiko Asakawa, the IBM developer who developed the smartphone app called NavCog, which helps the visually impaired to navigate inside complex indoor environments. Check out this video demonstration of how NavCog can assist someone who is blind to navigate inside a building. The video shows Chieko walking through a large building with the app.
Like Chieko, Kursat Cevlan, also created something that helps to make life more accessible for those who are visually impaired. Check out this story on Adaptivenetwork.com.
