Last week we talked about Justin Dart, ‘The Father of the ADA’.  The fight for disability rights took shape, as disability activists and advocates from all over the country worked together in harmony with a common goal.  Today we want to share one of those activists’ stories from 1990.  His name is Michael Winter and here is his story complete with audio.  Fighting for your rights is not easy, but there is solace in knowing you are not fighting alone.  Freedom Resource Center began this fight over 30 years ago, advocating for disability rights and promoting independent living for all.  We look to the future with a wide lens and a common goal, independence for all.
