The holidays are upon us.  For many of us, the holidays are a time when we get together with friends and family, enjoy great meals, and social events.  However, for millions of Americans, holiday gatherings are no picnic.  It is estimated that 15 million adults are affected by social anxiety disorder.  Social anxiety disorder is no joke and feeling obligated to attend or host family gatherings can only make things worse.  Check out this story from the HuffPost. There are things you can do that can help ease the pressure.  Check out these tips on Emerge.  So this holiday season, if someone doesn’t make it to dinner don’t take it personal or judge them.  Instead, here are some things you can do to help.
