With March being Disabilities Awareness Month, I would like to share some stories of extraordinary people, who just happen to have a disability.

Aaron ‘Wheelz’ Fotheringham

Aaron Fotheringham (above) was born with spina bifida. Doctors did not give a favorable outlook him living an independent life. Let Aaron tell you his story here.

Adam Page was also born with spina bifida. When watching this video, try to look past the infomercial on life insurance and take in Adam’s incredible story and see how barriers didn’t stand a chance of stopping him from doing what he was passionate about and winning a gold metal in the process.

Robert (Bob) Johnson

Multiple Sclerosis may have made it more difficult for my dad to play his guitar, but it never stops him. His passion for music will never fade. If I have learned anything from him it would be to never stop doing what you love. Never give up on something you love, no matter how difficult it is. I have mentioned this before, the human spirit is like a spring. The more you push it down, the higher it bounces up.
