Motivational Monday: Kitchen Tools for the Blind in Singapore

 In #zerobarriers, Motivational Monday

Independence really can be impacted significantly by a small well-designed tool. Singaporean designer Kevin Chiam developed a set of cooking tools for the visually impaired in his final year at the National University of Singapore and is working to continue his project after graduation. Follow this link to Channel News Asia to see what Kevin has created with the help of his friend Rosie Wong.

Kevin was inspired while volunteering at the Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped where he noticed that many of the members had physical scarring from injuries in the kitchen. Rosie is excited to see him continue this venture as other projects like this never follow through to the market for purchase. photo of Rosie Wong, who is blind, cooking in her kitchen
