The US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) are pledging $150,000 million dollars for housing grants.  Disability Scoop shared this story.  At any given time in the U.S. there are over half a million people who experience homelessness.  Of those people, 47% have a disability.  Just like many of the cardboard signs read, anything helps.  Keep in mind that if you are applying for a Mainstream Housing Choice Voucher you have though September 5th to do so. But the sooner the better. Also, if you need an accessible unit you need to ensure that you check the box on the application where it asks if the household requires an accessible unit.  For some buildings such as New Horizons in Fargo, this puts your application to the top of the list.  We recently shared a story about Homelessness which contains some useful links to follow if you have any questions.  I will share that story with you again here.
