When it comes to securing competitive employment for people with disabilities, North Dakota leads the nation.   So we may have some harsh winters, and this Fall has not been the best so far.  We are leading the way finding ability when others see disability.  Check out this story from respectability.org.  Last week I shared a few reasons why businesses should hire someone with a disability.  If you missed it I will share it again here. One of the biggest things our advocates work towards is for people with disabilities to live independently in their community.  We are fortunate to serve communities that embrace inclusion and to be surrounded by so many awesome employers.  It truly makes North Dakota a great place to live.
